About a week ago I received a phone call from a local venue looking to meet with me to be one of their “preferred vendors”. I was really excited after talking with them. The funny part of the story, about two weeks prior to their phone call I had driven up to Lake Wenatchee and drove past an amazing barn that I hadn’t noticed before. I thought “what is this place?” “Do they photograph weddings?” Turns out, this is the venue that wanted to meet with me!
We set a day to meet and before we were finished talking, David shared with me they were adding a new addition to their family in just a few days. They were going to be new puppy parents of a beautiful Alaskan Malamute named “Ty”. The day of our meeting the puppy of course got a ton of attention, he was so adorable and this little ball of fluff. He was getting used to the area and his legs. At one point he was on the steps of the Inn, and instead of walking down the steps, he jumped on top of a plant thinking it was solid group. You couldn’t help but giggle! Ty followed us around during the meeting and each time David, Rachel and I would stop and talk about the property Ty would search out shade from our shadows. I think he was adapting to his fur coat and new home. He loved the flower beds, cool dirt and lots of shade.
Pine River Ranch is amazing. Pine River Ranch just outside Leavenworth, Washington. Not only are they a beautiful wedding venue, they are also a bed and breakfast for couples looking to get away from their busy schedules. They say, “Its more than a bed and breakfast; it’s a world all its own.” I completely agree with that. This place is amazing! Everywhere you look, the views were incredible. This 22 acre setting is filled with a barn from the 1940’s that is on the historical register, ranch house, wild flowers, private cabins and the main house. The even have board games to enjoy during your stay, and my favorite was a tick-tac-toe game that has mouse and evergreens for the game pieces. The reception area inside the barn is breathtaking. French doors open up to overlook the area mountains, pine trees and below a beautiful key garden. The floors are hardwood and the light illuminates the inside when it reflects off the floors. There are overhead white lights to add to the romantic element of a wedding reception. For the horse lover, there is also a temporary pasture for the bride that wants her horse there for the wedding day. They even have a resident squirrel who stops by daily to visit, many different bird varieties and other wild life.
The owners are amazing, David and Rachel were so welcoming and full of so much information about the homestead. The three of us connected so easily and I fell in love with the venue, the owners and their puppy. I’m so excited to be working with them and know we will have such a great time! They took over the place a few months ago and you can see the labor of love and hard work they’ve put into the place. The grounds were immaculate, the rooms amazing and lots of little details throughout. If you haven’t checked them out for a potential wedding site or an escape from your busy routine, you’re missing out!
