Your Washington Photographer

Hello!
I'm Lynette, and I'm so happy you're here!

I'm Lynette Smith, the creative force behind Lynette Smith Photography and Wenatchee Boudoir. I'm a seasoned Wenatchee Washington-based photographer with over 25 years of experience, a certified Professional Photographer with PPA, a master's degree in photography, and a proud member of the PPA for over 12 years. My expertise covers a range of photography, including business headshots, personal branding, boudoir, the unique 40 Over 40 project, and contemporary maternity portraiture—all infused with a touch of couture elegance.

When you choose to work with me, it's not just a photography session—it's an experience designed to make you feel at ease and amazing in front of the camera. My studio is a place where you can relax, enjoy some pampering, and trust the creative process to me. Together, we'll create a visual celebration of your personal story, capturing those extraordinary moments through my lens.

What makes my photography stand out is my commitment to ensuring you not only feel seen but genuinely celebrated. Whether it's a captivating business headshot, a boudoir session, or a timeless maternity portrait, each frame is a reflection of your unique narrative. Let's embark on this creative journey together, where your story takes center stage, and the magic of the moment is forever preserved through my lens.

Friends, Family and Laughter

It doesn't get any better than quality time with family, and friends. The best moments are those when you're laughing so hard, your stomach muscles hurt… the next day because you had so much fun the day before. Some of my favorite memories are playing in the surf at the beach, laughing, and enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Free-Spirited

I'm a free spirit who still loves to take time to enjoy those unscripted moments of life. Snowball fights, water fights (of course with no camera gear in hand), playing on a tire swing, walking in the rain, and riding horses across an open field with hair blowing in the wind. I also love authentic moments with friends, and conversations that last for hours and you’ve lost track of time.

Summer Lightning Storms

When I was a little girl summer lightning storms terrified me, and I would hide under the dining room table with our family cat. Now, when there’s a lightning storm, you will find me (in a safe location) capturing the storm with my camera. There's something magical and fascinating about watching them as they move through the sky.

heart shaped rocks, clouds, and more....

I started collecting heart-shaped rocks in the fall of 2014 after my brother passed away from cancer. Seven days after he passed while walking on the beach at the Oregon Coast, heart-shaped rocks started to appear. The very first one I found had a crack right down the middle. Since then, I continue to find heart-shaped rocks, see shapes, clouds, and heart shadows. I believe those who have passed, watch over us and leave little signs as a reminder they are with us. #heartshapedrocksandasanddollar

The Oregon Coast

The Oregon Coast is my sanctuary. We vacation yearly in a small town nestled on the coastline called Cape Kiwanda. It’s beautiful, serene, and relaxing. I love hiking the dunes at sunrise and sunset, sitting on this little nook of grass listening to the waves crash below. It makes the most unique sound. There is a freedom I find when I’m near the Ocean, my soul is peaceful, and my spirit is free. The best part of our vacation, it's dog friendly, and the fur kids join us on the adventures.

Ballet & Dance

I studied ballet when I was very young and several years later while living in Portland I rediscovered my love of dance. I love the music, the graceful movements, and the creative artistry. I have since discovered a passion for blending my love of dance, and photography – photographing ballet performers on stage, and in my studio fuels my soul.

Ryder Safe Foundation

In 2018, I created the Ryder Safe Foundation in memory of our beloved chocolate lab Ryder, who lost his life to "dog collar strangulation," and in honor of Skyrah who survived the accident. We provide dog collar safety awareness and education. We recommend you never kennel/crate your dog with a collar on, remove collars during play, and when dog(s) are left home alone unattended to prevent collar strangulation. Visit www.RyderSafeFoundation.com to learn more about our mission.

Equine Adventures

I love horses! I've connected with them before I could walk. I was blessed to share this journey for 14 years with my amazing soul horse "Owyhee", who crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago. I learned many valuable lessons on my journey with him. He was a rescue horse, who in turn, rescued me. He is forever etched on my heart, along with our 4 labradors who have passed.

Hiking & the Outdoors

Wenatchee is a beautiful place to live! Majestic waterfalls, glacier-fed lakes, hiking trails, and many mountain adventures. During the off-season, I love to hike, explore, and appreciate the beauty around me. On one of my hikes, we came within 9 feet from a black bear and her cub who were eating berries in some bushes just off the hiking trail. We photographed her for an hour! Ask me more...
