Their Story:  Kirk & Kexshera

Everything about Kirk & Kexshera’s wedding was truly amazing! Their day was full of love, magic, friends, and family.  They bumped into each other at a country western bar one night and Kexshera noticed Kirk dancing with a partner.  They didn’t speak that night.  Fast forward to a month later and Kexshera is out with the girls and Kirk is sitting close to them.  She used a cheesy pick-up line, “Don’t I know you from somewhere?”  They hit it off for hours….and now they’re dancing through life together.

The Wedding

Their wedding day was beautiful!  The sun was out, the weather was brisk and excitement was in the air as Kirk and Kexshera were getting ready to spend their lives together.  They didn’t see each other before the ceremony and the look on Kirk’s face when he saw her for the first time walking down the aisle was priceless.  Their ceremony was full of love and afterward, we snuck away for the bridal portraits for about 45 minutes.  There were so many beautiful moments between these two…Kirk kept telling Kexshera how beautiful she looked and Kexshera telling Kirk how handsome he was….and how much they loved each other.  So many beautiful moments, giggles smiles, and captured unplanned moments in between.  One of my favorite moments was when Kirk threw Kexshera over his shoulder and carried her into a field of yellow flowers for photos.  The evening finished with a fabulous reception in the beautiful historic barn, fabulous food, dancing, cake, and the traditional garter & bouquet toss.  Their wedding day was full of fun, laughter, love & magic!  You know it’s a fun group when the groomsmen throw the photographer (me) up in the air over their shoulders for a quick “Superman” moment in the middle of the photo session!  I wish them a fabulous life together filled with love & magic!

The Venue: Pine River Ranch, Leavenworth, WA

Pine River Ranch is an amazing wedding venue just outside Leavenworth, Washington.  Not only is this a beautiful wedding venue, it’s also a bed and breakfast for couples looking to get away from their busy schedules.  Everywhere you look, the views were incredible.  This 22-acre setting is filled with a barn from the 1940s that is on the historical register, a ranch house, wildflowers, private cabins, and the main house.  The reception area inside the barn is breathtaking.  French doors open up to overlook the area’s mountains, pine trees, and a beautiful key garden.  The floors are hardwood and overhead white lights add to the romantic element of a wedding reception.  For the horse lover, there is also a temporary pasture for the bride who wants her horse there for the wedding day.
