Kolby and Erica were married at Squichuck State Park in Wenatchee, WA.

Erika and Kolby knew each other in high school.  Erika always gawked over Kolby.   Then would pass each other in the hallway, but wouldn’t ever talk to each other.  Fast forward five years later and they were reunited.  They talked for hours and likely made up for all those missed conversations in high school.  The next day, they began dating and four months later Kolby asked Erica to marry him.  She of course said, “YES!”  A year later they were married at Squilchuck State Park.  Enjoy photos from their wedding day…

The Wedding
Erika and Kolby’s wedding was held at Squilchuck State Park later in the day to beat the summer heat!  Kolby’s mom made all the signs that were posted around the wedding venue to help celebrate their day.  They were surrounded by close friends and family during the ceremony.  So much love surrounded these two on their wedding day.  Family and friends helped decorate the venue and they also did a potluck dinner which was amazing!  They danced on the lawn and celebrated the day until the sun just started to set behind the hills.  Their wedding day was beautiful!  It was great seeing so many friends and family come together to help make their wedding day incredibly special for them.

The Venue: Squilchuck State Park
Squilchuck State Park is a beautiful 288-acre camping park surrounded by forest trees of fir and ponderosa pine. The park sits at an elevation of 4,000 feet. (A little history on the name) In Chinook, “squilchuc”‘ means “muddy water.” The park land was sold to the state in 1952. The ski lodge was constructed in 1953.  The Squilchuck Lodge is available for day-use events such as weddings and can accommodate up to 75 guests.  They were surrounded by beautiful trees, tall grasses and a view of the surrounding mountains.  The park is a great outdoor wedding venue.  Two things to note:  If your wedding is at a Washington State Park, your photographer is required to have a Professional Photography Permit that costs $100.00 and is valid for one year.  In addition, they are also required to have a Discovery Parking Permit that costs $35.00 per year.  For more information visit http://www.parks.wa.gov/209/Filming-Photography-Permits.
