A few months back I attended the Zach and Jody workshop in Leavenworth, WA.  Prior to attending the workshop I was pretty set on my website design and the design I had in place.  I was never a fan of music on websites and hadn’t really embraced “flash” based sites either.  Little did I know, not only would the workshop change how I would “see the light” it would also change my perception on my website!

The first night of the workshop I won a free song download through music bed.  I quietly giggled under my breath thinking “really”?  Mostly because I’m not a fan of music on websites.  I knew I could use the song for something and most likely a web gallery of wedding images for a client.

The end of the second day of the workshop they did a drawing and I won a year of “Showit” for free.  Showit is a flash based website.  This would mean my website would have to be completely re-designed to use on a different platform.   I thought “maybe this is a sign?”  Music one day?  A free website for a year the next?  The next two months I contemplated if I would use the showit site offer or not.  What would be entailed.  What the cost would be for designing the site.  Did I want the exact same design in the new site?

Then I started really looking at my web page and “thought” it was maybe a year old.  I realized my photography website design was over 10 years old and hadn’t changed much.  (Change isn’t always easy).  After thinking about this for sometime I decided to jump ship, embrace Showit and redesign my website!  I have been more than impressed with the help Showit has offered.  With their help and some others along the way, I’m proud to roll out my brand new, completely redesigned website!
