WENATCHEE Photographer Earns Certification

Lynette Smith, of Lynette Smith Photography joins prestigious group as a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP)

PRESS RELEASE

(WENATCHEE, WA, March 2017) – Lynette Smith, CPP of Lynette Smith Photography in Wenatchee, WA has earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from Professional Photographers of America (PPA).

Lynette earned this designation after completing an intensive program that measures her artistic and technical competence. Professional Photographers of America currently recognizes fewer than 2,500 CPPs in the U.S.

In other professions such as mechanics, attorneys, electricians, accountant’s, mortgage loan officers etc., they are required to be certified in their field.  When individuals have obtained a certification, it affirms they have passed a comprehensive exam, training courses, additional requirements, and they possesses knowledge in a particular field of study, and they are appropriately trained.

Smith said, “Nowadays, it’s easy for someone to purchase a digital camera, print up some business cards, and market themselves as a professional photographer.  Basically anyone can call themselves a professional photographer, and have very limited knowledge required; such as the basic elements of color, exposure, and composition.  I believe that continued education, and obtaining my professional certification is a way to differentiate myself from other photographers.  Anyone can call themselves a photographer, but very few can call themselves a Certified Professional Photographer.”

Professional Photographers of America (PPA.com/CPP) is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals. CPPs must complete a written examination, finish an image evaluation and adhere to a strict code of conduct. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continued confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers.

For more information on certification, visit PPA.com/CPP. Go to www.Lynettesmith.com for booking information for Lynette Smith, CPP.
